My experience in the Global Game Jam In Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

There's something very special to tell about this event. See, back then I used to go to the University of Goldsmiths in Lewisham, London to participate in the Global Game Jam with my friends on the games industry.

This year, it was different: I left the UK against my own will on 2022, I was left with a deep feeling of loss for my life in London, not even my best friend was there to help me build games anymore, so I had to soldier up and find other ways of producing the assets for the game. It was difficult not doing a game jam with so many talented artists at my disposal as how I was used to back then. But, not everything was lost.

My community to the rescue

I don't know why it stumbled across my head to gather my friends whom I've met over the internet and never had prior experience in a Game Jam, despite the distance and the challenges, the internet has become a place where likeminded
